A huge thank you from James Whale

James Whale with artwork by Tony Heald

“After I was first diagnosed with and successfully recovered from kidney cancer in 2006, I decided to set up the James Whale Fund for Kidney Cancer.

We organised numerous fund-raising events, and on one aboard the Silver Sturgeon on the River Thames in London an auction was held. Tony kindly donated this beautiful artwork which my wife Melinda loved so much that she insisted I bid for it. Despite Melinda passing away with cancer in 2018, the painting still hangs in pride of place in the open-plan hallway of my home in Kent. I married Nadine in October 2021, and she too loves the painting which now hangs above another of Tony’s oil paintings.

Tony really is an amazing artist, and I am so lucky to be the guardian of these two beautiful artworks.

Thanks so much for your support Tony”.

Best wishes

James
